Getting to know you.

Well I've been meaning to get these posted for a while...I've just been a little...busy. These boys really love their brother, and Xander has to see him EVERY morning. Mikey calls him "Gawin" and Xander calls him "BE BE!!" It's pretty cute.

I love this picture. I didn't think mikey was really interested in his new brother at first...but he really dose love him. Every time I'm feeding Gavin mikey brings him all of his toys, "Here Gawin!" and they all get piled on top of me.

And then there are these pictures of the boys together on the floor. Gavin has some jaundice so we let him sunbathe a lot! And since he's on the floor no.1 and no.2 decide that it's a good time to join him.

And here is our sweet baby. I just really like this picture. What a cutie patoot!

And here is Daddy with the new boy. Mike is such a cute daddy to watch. He love his kiddos so much...and it shows.

Fireworks!

We parked outside of worlds of fun and watched their fireworks for the 4th. It was way fun. The first picture is actually not part of the WOF fireworks display. The people sitting behind us brought their own fireworks and were shooting them off. There were a lot of people shooting fireworks. Honestly...it was a little dangerous...but it was fun cause we were watching fireworks for almost a half hour before the display even started. It's crazy to think that for how long fireworks have been around, people still stop to watch them. They're still amazing.

4 Days

Here's our Gavin. He's a very alert little dude. He loves to look at things. And it's fun to just sit with him. Gavin was asleep when daddy got home last night so I went and got us a redbox movie. When I came back Gavin was on the couch instead of his crib in our room. I asked mike if he woke up and he just said, "Nope I just wanted him with me." Michael is such a good daddy. It's so fun to watch him come home from work and one of the first things he does is come and talk to his little boy.

And how is Caroline doing? Or better still...how are her parents? I hope you guys are feeling well. The first week kinda bites, but it does get better! I hope to see some more pictures of your new baby soon!

Gavin James Compton

Gavin was a little yellow, so to make him feel better they gave him some UV treatment. And to make sure he got the most out of it, they put him on his tummy so his back could
"soak up the sun."
Since UV rays aren't good for little eyes, he got some sweet shades to keep the light out.
It looked a little funny when they took the shades off cause he had Velcro circles on his temples to keep the "glasses" on.

Just moments after he was born.

We're home now and boy am I glad. Now I'm going to get some sleep in my bed. Love ya all!

Awake again

So I'm up again...and the whole house is dark. It is raining though so it's kinda relaxing. Boy am I ready to be in the hospital. Mostly cause it means I won't be pregnant anymore. I don't think I even slept for one full hour at a time last night. I did have some pretty hard contractions...but when I got up and walked around they stopped...sad. Who knew I'd be asking for pain.

blah de blah de Blog

So no changes today. I'm sorry the blog has turned into my complaint board. I did go to the hospital last night but mostly cause I had never been to the labor and deliver unit before and we wanted to check it out before I had to be there for a few days. IT"S SO NICE! they have a great big jacuzzi tub in the bathroom that would be SO nice to just sit in. (mike even wanted to hop in it lol!) And the room was almost twice the size of the once at Cox. And one of the chairs turns into a bed so if needed mike could sleep there for a few hours. It made me feel a lot better to see what would be going on.

But for now...I sit. I wait...and I try to sleep as much as I can. woo hoo....not. It has been really nice to have my family up here though. We got my food storage all rearranged and it looks SSOO much better now. And we all went swimming today before dad went home and that was a lot of fun. I actually got to GO SWIMMING! yeah my parents were watching the boys and I got to do some laps in the pool. And there were only like 3 other kids in the pool it was way nice. (and yes I double checked online to see if I could still go swimming. And it's totally fine as long as my water hasn't broken yet..which it hasn't...sadly) I really hope this doesn't take the whole week for Gavin to get here. But I have had more "harder" contractions today so we'll see. Boy was I a nervous reck before my parents got here. I don't know how I would have handled it without them THANKS MOM AND DAD! Now we just have to get Gavin to decide he wants to say hello.
