To Buy or Not to Buy

So mike and I have been talking. We're really sick of having to make HUGE rent payments each month...and now that we know we're going to be here for a while, we've decided it's time to start finding a house. Only...most websites only give you a week trial to see their house listings, then you have to pay so much a month for it. Then I found this beautiful website. Let me tell you. It helped a lot. I looked up the homes in greenville and I got stuff from over 10 different Realtors. the only problem is,there were like 164 pages of homes. But we didnt set a price range.

The Listings were set from Highest price to lowest. Once I was out of the $200,000 homes. I started looking. When I got down to the $20,000 range...I stoped. And I made sure to look at homes that only had over the sq footage of what our rental is right now. there were LOTS of houses. I got all of their addresses, the name of the person selling it, and the rest of the info on the house. I think I'll try looking in Commerce for houses tomorrow.

It's all Gouda!

So a lot of the time when people are talking to me, instead of saying good, or it's all good. I'll replace good with Gouda. Like the cheese. Or I'll say Gouda Cheese. Then the other day I realized. I'd never actually tasted Gouda. I was at walmart and they happened to have a package of already sliced Gouda on sale for 49 cents off. So I grabed it and brought it home with me.

We were having sliced ham and cheddar on wheat ritz crackers (YUM). Then I remembered we had some peperoni in our fridge. And friends, lemme tell ya, sliced peperoni is the PERFECT size for ritz crakers. Then we decided to give our Gouda a try.

WHAMMO!!!

IT WAS SOO GOOD! I've never had a better combonation with Peperoni!!! I seriously am going to have to try it on pizza one of these days. AMAZING! And I gotta say....

IT's ALL GOUDA!

Big Mac

Well I had a request from my favorite Sheri, that I needed to blog again. SO I"m going to blog about a "meal" I had on the way home from the temple. We've been eating healty now for a few weeks and I feel great. I have more energy than normal, and I'm happier (although eating better didn't magicly clean my house, but....you cant win 'em all). What I didnt realize is how BADLY I was eating before.

On our way home from the temple we had an hour drive, and we haddn't eaten anything since breakfast before we drove to the temple, so it had been about 5+ hours since we had eaten. So we decided to stop and get something to eat. I really wanted Burger King, cause a whopper sounded good, and I handn't had one for almost a year now. But the only thing that we seamed to pass was, yep you guessed it, McDonalds. So thats where we stoped.

I decided I wanted a Big Mac. I really like those burgers. Maybe it's the Big Mac sauce. Dont really know why, but I do like them. Mike got a meal with a medium drink and fry, and we got hamburgers for all the boys. Mike and I shared his drink and his fries, and both ate our burgers (he got something with mushrooms on it. Ick). Anyhow we eat the burgers first, and my stomach starts to feel a little heavy. And we couldnt even finish the fries. And the Soda took us a while to drink cause we hadnt had any in a while. The food tasted fine, it's just how awful it made me feel afterwords. My stomach felt like it had a lead weight in it for hours after I had eaten.

I used to be able to eat fast food no problem. And I used to be able to eat a large meal from any fast food chain. But after eating foods that are high in fiber and cutting WAY down on the sugar, and eating more fresh fruits and veggies...the fast food just didnt cut it. Not only did it not cut it, it kinda made me sick. The first few days were hard, but now I know it was paying off. I still like candy and Ice Cream, but I only eat a few bites of whatever and then I'm done with it. Next I need to start up my morning workout again.

Look out size 5 here I come!

Day at the Temple

Our friends Anton and Tiffany came to visit us this weekend and we all decided it'd been long enough since any of us had been to the temple, so we took the one hour drive and headed to Dallas. The whole day went pretty good. We went in while they watched our kids and then we switched. One of the kids got sick while her mom and Dad were in the temple. Poor thing had a rotten day. But on the way home our boys kept saying. "I want to go back to the temple mom" It was cute.

We did get a chance to take some family pics, and this is the picture of the temple I got as we left. All in all, it was a pretty good day.

The trials of wanting to eat healthy.....

Oh the pain. I want cookie dough SSSSOOO bad right now...and I have ALL the stuff to make it. Just the taste of that wonderful stuff is heaven. If I could only have 1 spoonful made that would be awesome...but who can stop at one.

And furthermore, who makes a recipe for 1 spoonful of cookie dough. SO I sit here and suffer in silence. I know if I made a full batch of cookie dough, I'd eat A LOT of it. And then whatever was left, would be for cookies...which have the same amount of sugar as the dough...so I might as well have eaten the whole batch. Cause thats what would happen eventually.

UG.

The first week of cutting sugar out....is like pulling a tooth. No it's pulling THE tooth. The sweet tooth. :S
